On Friday to Sunday 16th to 18th September 2022 we ran an exhibition station at Kingston Lacey to mark the covid-delayed 40-year anniversary of the hand-over of the estate to the National Trust. We obtained a special event call-sign GB5BN from Ofcom for the weekend. The previous owner of Kingston Lacey House was an amateur, holding the callsign G5BN. We operated stations on the VHF and HF bands using FM, SSB, CW and FT8. The logs were uploaded to QRZ.COM, Clublog, eQSL and LoTW.

We took advantage of the light evenings to do some maintenance on the club’s main HF antenna.
We took also advantage of the light evenings to operate from the garden adjacent to a meeting hall on several occasions. It gave members a chance to experience different low-power transceivers and compare several antennas.
We had a stand at the Hamworthy Park Fete on Saturday 2nd July 2022. We showed several aspects of the hobby.
